WoW Word of the Week: banal
August 3, 2008This week, I’ve chosen a word that made me giggle when I read it. YOU know why.
This week’s word is:
banal
\BAY-nul; buh-NALL; buh-NAHL (British)\, adjective:
Commonplace; trivial; hackneyed; trite.
Example: Perhaps the reason I hate Night Elf hunters is because they are so banal. Or perhaps it is because they drive me into a murderous rage whenever I see them. Possibly the combination of the two.
But don’t you love my cute boingy ears?? /gasp
by Pike August 3, 2008 at 9:40 amAww, c’mon now! Just because I had played almost every other class or race in the game other than kal’dorei and hunters I’m thrown into the same banal category? At least I roleplay my huntress as something other than those perky, cutesy, “I love my pet”, flirtatious nelf hunters that drive me into a murderous rage.
I’d rather be trollin’, to be honest, but the choices for hunters Alliance-side are a bit limited and I already had a dwarf at the time!
by Cynra August 4, 2008 at 12:22 amEvery Azeroth holiday me and my fellow guildies seem to just ‘end up’ rolling new low level night elves … then as a group we trek off to find mail boxes in alliance cities to dance on … often in our knickers
It is possible we are contributing to the banal NE reputation O_O … mwahahahahahah ^_^
by Lactic Acid August 4, 2008 at 2:03 amPike – It’s okay, I’ll just pretend you only have a Tauren Hunter 🙂
Cynra – If you RP it differently, I suppose that’s okay. Just don’t let me run into you on the Elemental Plateau, because all bets are off there!
Lactic – I am of the understanding that Night Elves set their Hearthstones to on top of mailboxes, because that’s where I always see them.
by Brajana August 4, 2008 at 6:07 am@ Cynra – I like the way I RP my night elf too. Booze-drinkin’ gun-slingin’ Calamity Jane type… she is a blast to play!
by Pike August 4, 2008 at 8:32 amhmmm actually … I experimented with that … if you set your hearth while dancing on, say an inn keepers reception desk, that’s where you end up hearthing back in.

by This Week in Raiding… Tidewalker Down! « Mend Pet August 9, 2008 at 6:51 amHee I notice a saturation in banal self-pingback. Banal is certainly a word of the month ^_^ lol.
My week finished on monday when work started 😦 woe.
